Who we Are

Since Independence, our nation's leaders and architects have dreamt of creating an egalitarian society with balanced growth. In spite of various measures put in place by successive Governments, achieving a well-balanced growth in physical and social infrastructure continues to remain a distant dream.

Providing quality education for every single child is the only way of achieving our developmental goals, as sustainable development can begin only with education. Giving an opportunity and a better platform for learning will not only protect the child's future, but in-turn will lead to transforming our society and nation.

Thinnai Foundation is one such initiative that aims to provide quality education and equal opportunities to the under-privileged children.

Started on May 22, 2019, by Mrs.Sangunthala Ramasamy,aged about 64,Thinnai Foundation is the culmination of a strong belief that enlightening minds and empowering them is the only way for battling and eliminating social evils and uplifting the society. Thinnai through its initiatives provides access not only for quality education, but also inculcates values, commitment and dedication to the society, thus helping to build a strong future for every child.

The seed for Thinnai Foundation was first sown when a few like minded people came together to give shape to their dreams of transforming the society by equipping every child with education. The goal was to provide an opportunity for good quality education for deserving children in the rural areas and to create a platform to nurture their talents and provide them with opportunities to learn, develop and transform into a well-rounded individual.

With a vision to bring about a significant positive change in the socio-economic status of every individual in the rural areas, Thinnai strives to bridge the gap between deserving candidates and quality education through its innovative initiatives.

Thinnai believes in Education as the way to holistic upliftment of the people and society at large. When we speak about society the ones that needs the most attention is the one that actually gets the least attention and support – the masses from the rural and under privileged segments of the society. We, at Thinnai, work to focus and contribute our efforts towards the students who have the potential to come up, yet are deprived of financial resource, guidance, support and exposure.

Our various activities at large are directed towards providing the necessary Awareness, Assistance, Support and Guidance for the students from the Rural and Under-privileged segment to a better education and career.
